Belgian investor increases stake in Bolivia-Brazil gas pipeline

Pinheiro Neto Advogados has helped an investment fund, controlled by Canadian investor Brookfield and Brazilian finance group Itaúsa, pay 1.8 billion reais (US$340 million) for Petrobras’ remaining stake in local gas pipeline operator Nova Transportadora do Sudeste.

Brazilian electricity company Light has called on Milbank in São Paulo and New York and local firm Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados to issue shares in a primary and secondary offering for 2.7 billion reais (US$507 million), in which state-owned Cemig sold its entire stake in the company.
