Puerto Rico-based QMC Telecom has hired Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (Colombia) to obtain a US$45 million credit line from IDB Invest to finance its operations in Colombia, Mexico and Peru.

French cable and fibre optic company Nexans has enlisted two offices of Spanish firm Pérez-Llorca, Colombia’s Gómez-Pinzón, Pérez Bustamante & Ponce (PBP) in Quito and Peruvian outfit Miranda & Amado to acquire US$225 million worth of telecoms assets across Latin America from Mexican energy company Xignux.

América Móvil spins off tower business with US$1 billion offering

The New York and Buenos Aires offices of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and Robles Miaja Abogados in Mexico City have helped América Móvil raise US$1 billion in a note offering, a deal that completes the spin-off of the issuer’s communications tower business.
