State Grid completes US$3 billion purchase of Chile’s CGE

Chinese power company State Grid has relied on Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in Beijing and Claro y Cía in Santiago to complete its 2.6 billion euros (US$3 billion) acquisition of Spanish counterpart Naturgy’s stake in Chilean transmission group Compañía General de Electricidad (CGE).
