Biography
Zeca has more than 15 years’ experience as a lawyer. He has served in the advisory and representation of Brazilian and foreign clients before CADE in several cases in the competition area, including mergers (M&A), cartels and leniency agreements, and investigations for abuse of a dominant position. Zeca’s experience also includes conducting internal investigations, designing and implementing corporate compliance/compliance policies, and working on issues related to privacy and data protection. He is experienced in sectors such as banking and finance, education, retail, chemical industries, pesticides, and heavy construction. Zeca regularly writes on antitrust issues and is a member of several associations (the American Bar Association, International Bar Association and IBRAC).
Academically, he holds a degree in law from USP (University of São Paulo), a Master of Arts in Economics from King's College London and a master’s in business law from FGV-SP (Fundação Getulio Vargas).
