Biography
Vicente Lines’s practice spans 20 years of complex transactions, acquisitions, financing and adversarial negotiations experience involving regulated industries, corporate law, minority shareholders’ rights, real estate and other complex legal issues involving private enterprises, the Costa Rican government and international multilateral financial institutions.
He has counselled banks and financial institutions in constituting debt facilities in favour of Costa Rican, Nicaraguan and Honduran debtors. Vicente has a unique regional experience as regulatory counsel to energy and telecommunications companies, has worked with international investors in the private sector, in diverse industries. He is an active member of the Costa Rican Solar Energy Association.
He obtained his juris doctor from Law School, University of Costa Rica (1997), holds an LLM in common law studies from Georgetown University Law Center, in Washington, DC and is a Fulbright scholar (1999). He is also an authorised practising attorney in the State of New York, USA (2000)
