Partner Verónica Franco specialises in complex corporate and financial transactions and competition law. She has been principally involved in matters related to foreign investment and the launching of new products; mergers and acquisitions; anticompetitive practices and merger control; project finance; joint ventures; commercial and distribution agreements; bilateral and syndicated loans, as well as securities issuance in the local and international capital markets.
She has experience advising sovereigns, multilaterals and public and private companies, including digital platforms and new technologies.
Verónica joined the firm in 2011. Between 2015 and 2017, she was an international associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where she had substantial exposure to high-profile cross-border corporate and financing transactions across Latin America.
Verónica holds a law degree from National University of Asunción (Paraguay) and an LLM from Columbia Law School (New York). She is admitted to practise law in Paraguay and the State of New York.
