Tomás M Araya is a partner of the firm’s financial services and capital markets practice and leads our insolvency and restructuring practice group.
He has taken part in several debts restructuring and advised domestic and foreign financial institutions in complex transactions.
Mr Araya regularly lectures at both local and international seminars on subjects relating to corporate law, debtor-creditors rights and insolvency law. He is a member of the World Bank’s Insolvency and Creditor/Debtor Regimes Task Force.
Mr Araya graduated from Universidad Nacional de Rosario (1994) and received a master's degree in business law with honours from Universidad Austral (1996) and an LLM from New York University School of Law (2001). He received the Fulbright scholarship in 2001. He is admitted to the Santa Fe Bar (1994) Buenos Aires Bar (2001) and the State of New York Bar (2003).
