Biography
With over 20 years of experience, Thiago is the head of the project financing, credit transactions, banking law and capital markets practice. He stands out for his role in complex financing transactions of different modalities, debt restructuring and M&A deals. His expertise has been recognised by the most prestigious directories in the international legal market, such as Latin Lawyer, Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500 and IFLR 1000. The last has also highlighted his work with major financial institutions and corporate clients in financing and restructuring projects, featuring Thiago as a Highly Regarded Lawyer by clients and peers.
Thiago has also held a position as Chair Officer of the Innovations in Financing Transactions Subcommittee for the Banking Law Committee of the International Bar Association for years, until 2017.
Between 2002 and 2003, Thiago worked at Coudert Brothers LLP in Washington, DC, USA, dedicated to financial transactions, mergers, acquisitions and infrastructure projects.
