Biography
Thiago has practised in the corporate restructuring and insolvency area for 12 years. He has extensive experience in representing debtors, equity partners and shareholders, creditors and investors in judicial reorganisation, extrajudicial reorganisation and insolvency proceedings. He has played an active role in several high-stakes cases involving the restructuring of debtors in the construction, telecom, media, oil and gas, agribusiness and energy segments.
He holds a bachelor's degree in law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), a specialisation degree (certificate) in banking and capital markets from the Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa (Insper) and an LLM from the University of Chicago. He worked as a foreign associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, EUA and he is fluent in Portuguese and English.
