Biography
Sergio has more than 20 years of experience advising clients in a wide range of transactional, banking and capital markets matters, including formation or acquisitions of financial institutions, issuance of debt and equity securities, and on all aspects of banking supervisory issues.
Likewise, he regularly represents financial institutions and corporate borrowers in lending transactions as well as loan restructurings.
Sergio holds an LLM from Georgetown University and is a board member of several companies, specifically financial entities supervised by the Peruvian banking authorities. Additionally, he is a banking law professor for the master's in corporate law programme at the University of Lima, a top-tier university in Peru, as well as in other private and public institutions.
