Biography
During his more than 20 years of extraordinary professional service, Rodolfo has successfully resolved complex litigation in both the private and public sectors, highlighted by his participation as Judicial Director of the State for the Defence of Guatemala in Arbitration of the ICSID ARB 09/05 promoted by Iberdrola Energía, and ARB 10/23 promoted by Teco Holdings. He was also part of the national legal team that advised Guatemala in the arbitration promoted by the United States in Chapters XVI and XX of the CAFTA-DR.
He is recognised for his experience advising on governmental matters, public-private partnerships, public tenders, and policies and strategies; in the development of energy and infrastructure projects, with particular skill in national and international tenders; and in contracts for environmental mitigation measures, environmental impact studies, and the socialisation processes for electric power projects.
