One of the firm’s founding partners, Roberto Quiroga reassumed his role as the firm’s managing partner in 2020. As a lawyer, he has focused his career on tax law, acquisitions and corporate reorganisations, and financial and capital markets, assisting clients in Brazil and abroad.
For over 20 years, Quiroga has played a leading role in pioneering Mattos Filho’s pro bono work in Brazil, helping to build the values present in our culture and enabling us to make a positive impact on society. He was also fundamental in establishing our innovative governance model (which went on to become a case study at Harvard University), assuring the firm’s sustainability and success in the Brazilian legal market.
Quiroga is a professor of tax law at the Law School of University of São Paulo (USP) and in the master’s programme at the Law School of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).
