Biography
Ricardo has over 20 years of experience providing advice and counseling to Mexican and foreign companies and clients on domestic and cross-border merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures and strategic alliances. He also represents issuers and financial institutions in several domestic and international, public and private, debt and equity offerings, and advises clients in the negotiation, structuring and drafting of complex financings and in infrastructure projects.
Ricardo also focuses part of his practice to corporate governance matters, advising family-owned and publicly listed companies in related matters.
In addition, Ricardo has been consistently ranked by Chambers and Partners and by The Legal 500 as a Band 1 / Top Tier lawyer in corporate / M&A.
Ricardo serves as member and/or secretary of the Board of Directors of several private and stock exchange listed companies, including Consorcio Ara, Volaris, ICA, Grupo Axo, Grupo Televisa, Biossmann Group, Empresas Cablevisión, Grupo Famsa, Grupo Pueblo Bonito, Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte (OMA), SeaMex and Grupo Financiero Banorte.
On ProBono work, Ricardo actively participates as a mentor and lawyer assisting in matters of Endeavor México and of the Mexican Bar Association Foundation. He also serves on the board of both foundations.
