Biography
Ricardo is Sánchez Devanny’s managing partner with more than 20 years of experience who co-chairs the firm’s tax practice group. His extensive transactional tax practice focuses on Mexican inbound and outbound tax planning and transfer pricing; tax treaties; and income tax and VAT rationalisation. His expertise includes structuring tax-efficient domestic and cross-border acquisitions, mergers, reorganisations, spin-offs, redemptions and liquidations. Ricardo’s transfer pricing expertise allows him to advise clients on the design and implementation of intellectual property and goods and services transactions. He has earned prominent recognition in the market as a trusted private family adviser. Ricardo has served as associate chief counsel, at the Mexican Tax Administration Service and local partner in a major international law firm. Ricardo is the co-chair of the Taxes Committee of the IBA, co-chair of the International Tax Committee, ABA, Section of International Law, and chair of the National Association of Tax Specialists, Monterrey Chapter.
