Biography
Ricardo Lara Gaillard is a partner in the area of antitrust at Cescon, Barrieu, Flesch & Barreto Advogados.
He has frequently been recognised as one of the main lawyers in Brazil by Chambers and Partners.
He represents foreign and domestic companies, investment funds and individual clients in concentration acts, investigations on breaches of the Brazilian competition law, including cartel conduct and in execution of leniency agreements with the board of directors of the Administrative Council for Economic Defence.
He holds a degree in law from Pontifícia Catholic University of São Paulo and he is a specialist in corporate law at Instituto Brasileiro de Mercado de Capitais (IBMEC). He was an international associate at a major Washington law firm between 2011 and 2012. As of 2014 he is certified by the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics as a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional.
