Biography

Ricardo is senior partner and head of Azevedo Sette Advogados’ TMT practice in São Paulo office. He draws upon more than 45 years’ experience advising clients in complex transactions involving consulting and litigation in banking and capital markets, contracts, corporate M&A, intellectual property and tax law, especially to the telecommunication, internet and information technology sectors.

LLB from USP Law School, and was admitted to practise in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1972. Ricardo specialised in tax law at the University of North Dakota (1975) and in business law, Institute of World Affairs, Connecticut (1973).

Ricardo is chair of the Legislation Committee and President in Brazilian Chamber of E-Commerce. Representative at the board of directors of the International Federation of the Computer Law Associations, with its head office in Europe (for eight years) in the Computer Law Association.

Ricardo is recommended in Chambers Latin America as Senior Statesmen in Telecommunications & Media, in The Legal 500 as leading lawyer in TMT, Lacca Approved, Latin Lawyer 250, Leaders League, Who's Who Legal, Best Lawyers and World tax review in corporate and M&a, intellectual property, tax, technology, data protection, banking and finance and communication.
