Renê Medrado is with the firm since 1995. Partner since 2009. Medrado counsels clients on international trade and competition/antitrust matters, and litigates disputes involving such matters. Medrado has been constantly recognised as a leading lawyer in international trade law and antitrust in Brazil (see Chambers and Partners; Who's Who Legal; Latin Lawyer Magazine; Best Lawyers; The Legal Media Group; Análise Advocacia 500). Named a 'Thought Leader' in the trade and customs area (2016 and 2018) by Who's Who Legal. Received an LLB from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1997), an Executive MBA from Insper (2002), and an LLM from Columbia University School of Law (2003 – graduated with honours – Harlan Fiske Stone award). He completed his PhD at the University of São Paulo in 2011. Member of the firm’s steering committee for a three-year term. Acted as a WTO panelist in a dispute by the Director-General’s appointment.
