Biography
Specialist in structured finance transactions, debt restructurings and M&A. Has experience in the structuring and implementation of restructuring transactions, such as debts renegotiation, extrajudicial recoveries, distressed fundraising, as well as investments, assets sale/acquisition and distressed credit/NPL trading. Provides legal assistance to companies, banks, investment funds and investors in structured and complex corporate finance transactions, including syndicated loans, asset-based finance transactions, securitisation transactions and trading of credit portfolios. He conducted important M&As involving financial and non-financial institutions and also advises clients on regulatory matters related to banking, finance and capital markets regulation.
Received his LLB from the University of São Paulo, postgraduate degree in insurance law from Fundação Getulio Vargas and LLM from University of Virginia.
Foreign associate at Sidley Austin LLP, New York (2008–2009).
Member of IBA, TMA Brazil and INSOL international, acts as an alternate member of the board of directors of TMA Brazil. Admitted to New York Bar.
