Renata Muzzi is a partner at TozziniFreire's compliance & investigation practice group and focuses her practice on compliance matters, with particular expertise in internal investigations. Her experience includes advising companies, boards of directors and independent committees on prevention, detection, response and remediation of complex matters related to compliance and anti-corruption. She advises clients on developing and implementing compliance and anti-corruption programmes, conducting cross-border internal investigations, as well as conducting risk assessments and complex anti-corruption due diligences in the context of M&A transactions. She also represents clients in the interaction with government authorities, especially in the context of cooperation and leniency agreements. She was the first Brazilian to obtain the certification of Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) granted by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) in 2008.
