Mr Corzo has been a partner since 1999. His practice focuses on banking and insurance regulation, bankruptcy, corporate transactions, foreign investment and complex litigation. Has counselled the Peruvian government in the collection process of one of the most important post-privatisation debts in Peru.
Counsels Citibank-Peru, Deutsche Bank, BCP and Itaú Corpbanca on a regular basis on regulatory matters. He has participated in the merger of Banco Santander–Peru and Banco Mercantil (1996), as well as in obtaining banking licences in Peru for Citibank, Deutsche Bank, HSBC and the Rep Office of Banco Itau BBA.
Mr Corzo received a JD degree from the Catholic University of Arequipa, with highest honours, and was an associate with Mayer, Brown & Platt in Chicago in 1997. In addition, he has been a professor of banking law and financial institutions in several Peruvian universities. His native language is Spanish and he is fluent in English.
