Biography
Rafael Baleroni is a partner in the areas of project finance, banking and finance, infrastructure and government relations, insolvency and restructuring at Cescon, Barrieu, Flesch & Barreto Advogados.
He represents foreign and domestic financial institutions, companies, sponsors and foreign investors in major transactions in the oil and gas, offshore industry, shipping and energy sectors.
He holds a law degree from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, where he held a scholarship to specialise in oil and gas law, a master’s degree in law from the University of Chicago and a master’s degree in international law from State University of Rio de Janeiro. Mr Baleroni was an international associate at a major New York law firm in 2009 and 2010.
Mr Baleroni is associated to the AIPN, the IBP – Brazilian Institute of Oil, Gas and Biofuels, and has authored several articles about international law, oil and gas law, project finance and foreign investment.
