Biography

Patrick Jackson is a partner in the global financial markets practice in São Paulo. He represents large Brazilian banks and multinationals on US securities and regulatory matters, including equity, debt and liability management transactions and anti-corruption and sanctions matters. He also advises Brazilian clients on international banking and restructuring. 

Patrick's experience includes advising the underwriters UBS, Credit Agricole, Credit Suisse, Itaú BBA, Morgan Stanley and SMBC in Banco do Brasil's first social bond offering in the amount of US$500 million; the underwriters Bradesco BBI, Itaú BBA, Credit Suisse, Santander and HSBC in AES Brasil Energia's US$205 million follow-on offering; BNDES on the largest-ever secondary offering of shares in Brazil, selling approximately 724 million common shares in Petrobras, valued at approximately US$5.2 billion; on the US$864 million IPO by Brazilian healthcare services provider Hapvida in 2018 and their follow-on issuance; and Klabin, the largest paper producer in Brazil, on its issuances of green bonds and on its US$500 million sustainability-linked notes.
