Pablo Viñals Blake is a partner of Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal, co-leads the M&A, and leads the Private Equity, Venture Capital and Agribusiness Groups.
Pablo has been recognised by all the main legal publications for his outstanding expertise. Chambers Latin America and Chambers Global both rank him in Band 1 in Corporate/M&A, describing him as “ one of the country’s leading corporate lawyers” (2012) and highlighting his “ unerring business sense and pertinent advice that often goes beyond purely legal issues” (2011).
Pablo was involved in the privatisation programme carried out by the Argentine government during the 1990s and has represented domestic and multinational companies, private equity and hedge funds and financial institutions in their ventures in Argentina including almost all of the largest M&A, agribusiness and project financing transactions held in Argentina in the past two decades. He has also assisted local and foreign investors in M&A, agribusiness and project financing deals in other Latin American countries, such as Chile, Uruguay and Brazil, and advised multilateral financial institutions such as the IFC and the United States Eximbank on their Argentine operations.
Pablo has an LLM from Harvard Law School and was a foreign associate in the New York office of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy LLP (1992–1994). He has spoken on courses and seminars and has published several articles on topics related to his areas of specialisation in Argentina and abroad. Pablo graduated as a lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina.
