Ordélio is a founding partner of Azevedo Sette Advogados. He draws upon more than 50 years’ experience in complex and strategic matters in compliance, anti-corruption, international and commercial negotiation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, project finance and privatisation.
LLB from the University of Brasília Law School, and was admitted to practise in Brasília, Brazil, in 1996. Ordélio has specialisation in public and constitutional law at the same institution. He is specialised in international negotiation at OEA - Organization of American States and master’s degree in international and comparative law at Cornell University, EUA (LLM).
Ordélio is an external consultant at UN - United Nations. He was president of the International Chamber of Commerce of Brazil (CIC-BR), member of the Advisory Board of The Council of the Americas, member of the board of CONSEA FIESP (São Paulo Industries’ Federation Board of Advanced and Strategic Studies), and member of the BIAC – Business Industries Advisory Council of the OCDE, Paris, France. He is the author of four legal books, two published in the United States.
Ordélio is recommended in Chambers Latin America as Senior Statesmen in corporate commercial practice, in The Legal 500 as reference in the insurance segment. In Latin Lawyer 250 and Best Lawyers he is cited in corporate and M&A and project finance practice as senior reference. In 2014, he was elected as “Executive of Year” from IBEF/MG (Brazilian Institute of Finance Executives). In 2018, Ordélio was honoured by the Associação Comercial de Minas – ACMinas for 50 years of the Azevedo Sette.
