Biography
Born in Mexico City, Mexico. Educated at Escuela Libre de Derecho (JD, 1995) and New York University (LLM in international taxation, 1997). Conducted postgraduate studies in tax law at Escuela Libre de Derecho in 1997. He is a member of the firm’s board of directors and his practice focuses on tax law with an emphasis on international tax aspects, providing advice to multinational companies doing business in Mexico and Mexican companies doing business abroad. His practice also comprises tax aspects on M&A transactions, private equity and tax controversies. Omar worked as country tax leader for the General Electric Company in Mexico.
