Educated at Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, School of Law (1991). Foreign associate a Chadbourne & Parke, NY (1995–1996). Olaya’s experience includes advising Arca Continental in the acquisition of Corporación Lindley (US$760 million); Supermercados Wong on its sale to Cencosud (US$500 million); Inkafarma on its sale to Interbank Group (US$350 million); La Curacao on its sale to Tiendas EFE (US$150 million). Member of the board of directors of Sky Airlines, Industrias del Envase (the largest producer of packaging in Peru), Machu Picchu Foods (the leader manufacturer of chocolates), Oben Holding Group (the largest producer of films for the packaging industry); Agroindustrial Paramonga (leader in the sugar industry) and Terminal Portuario Paracas (a multipurpose port located in Southern Peru). Contributor to El Comercio and Gestión, the most important newspapers in Peru, and Semana Económica, the most influential magazine focused on economic and business issues.
