María Cristina joined Arias in 2016 in the banking and finance department, where she currently focuses her practice, assisting national and international companies with excellence, in complex transactions and projects that involve multi-jurisdictional and multidisciplinary teams such as financing projects of high levels of sophistication; also structuring and execution of mergers and acquisitions across different service and industry sectors, examining corporate and contractual topics; international bond issuance, among others.
She has also provided legal advice to companies related to the security market, including private investment funds. She has supported consultations with banking entities and the securities market sector regarding the application of Panamanian legislation.
María Cristina has a degree in law and political science from Santa Maria La Antigua University, Panama; a master’s degree in international business law from San Pablo CEU, Madrid, Spain and a specialisation in international law from Latina University, Panama.
