Marco Salgado has been a partner at DLA Piper Chile since 2016. He previously worked at Alcaino Abogados, in Santiago, Chile (2006–2010, 2011–2012;) Shutts & Bowen LLP, in Miami, USA (2011); and in the Chilean Army as a Legal Officer (2003–2006). In 2004, while in the Army, he was the recipient of the "Comando de Institutos Militares" award.
His corporate practice focuses on M&A, corporate governance, media and entertainment, and dispute resolutions. He has worked on both public and private M&A transactions involving major domestic and international companies. He has also advised state-owned, public, and private institutions on corporate governance matters. In addition, he has served as lead counsel in both domestic and international commercial arbitration and in many judicial cases and appeared before both domestic and foreign high courts.
Salgado is a member of the Chilean Bar Association.
