Biography
Partner in Demarest’s insurance and reinsurance area, Marcia has 23 years’ experience in insurance and reinsurance. She is in charge of high-complexity cases in all fields of insurance, provides consulting services in contracts, operations, development of products and claims regulation; in addition, is an active lawyer in arbitration courts and chambers. She lectures as an MBA professor of insurance and reinsurance at Escola Nacional de Seguros; legal director of the São Paulo Association of Insurance Technicians; partner of the Brazilian Institute of Insurance Law; and director of the National Academy of Insurance and Pensions (ANSP). Marcia earned an LLM in civil law from the University of São Paulo and a postgraduate specialisation in insurance and reinsurance from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. She obtained her LLB from the University of São Paulo.
