He currently focuses on transactions in the Americas, with past experience in Europe and the Middle East. Manuel advises on complicated cross-border mergers and acquisition transactions, joint ventures, and debt and equity offerings.
He represents, among others, corporate, sovereign and financial institution clients, including Autoridad del Canal de Panamá, Aeropuerto Internacional de Tocumen, AtlasBank, LNG Group Panama, Empresa Nacional del Petróleo, Organización Corona, SQM, Citibank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan.
In the last year, Manuel advised the initial purchasers in connection with a senior notes offering by AES Panama, the largest bond issuance by a private company in Central America and the Caribbean; the initial purchaser in the first green project bond issuance by a private company in Central America and the Caribbean, UEP Penonomé; and numerous others.
