Manuel Lecuona is an expert in corporate, mergers and acquisitions, corporate conflicts and energy law. He is currently the co-head of Ferrere’s company and corporate law practice, and the energy and infrastructure team. He also leads the firm’s new ventures practice.
He provides advice on merger and acquisition processes, and is also involved in corporate litigation and conflicts. In recent years, he has played a relevant role in the energy sector, leading various projects related to installation of renewable energy ventures.
In 2015, he was also appointed professor of commercial contract law at the University of Montevideo. He is a member of the Uruguayan Bar Association. Educated at Universidad de la República (2005), master’s in business law; Educated at the Academy of American and International Law, Southwestern Institute for International and comparative law, Dallas, Texas (2011).
