Manuel is founding partner of Galicia Abogados. He specialises in commercial transactions and his practice is focused in representing and advising domestic and international companies and financial institutions in loans, private and public issuances of securities, financial leasing, restructures, projects, mortgages backed loans, high-yield issuances, exchange of debt, joint ventures, privatisations, M&A and corporate restructures.
Prior to founding Galicia Abogados in 1994, he worked in Santamarina y Steta, SC for 14 years, four of which he was partner, being also member of the management committee.
Manuel participated as legal adviser to the International Commercial Business Committee Coordinator (COECE) during the NAFTA negotiations. He is member of the board of directors of various financial companies.
He graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana and studied for a master's in international and comparative law from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
