Biography
Mr Rodríguez-Mariátegui, with more than 30 years of legal experience, is an expert in mining law, environmental law and corporate law.
He has been member of the board of directors, part of the executive committee and President of the legal committee of the Mining, Oil and Energy National Society (SNMPE). He has also performed as President of the Mining, Oil and Energy Law National Institute (INDEMIPE) and of the Mining and Energy Studies Institute (IDEM).
Likewise, he has been a member of the advisory council of the mining area for the Lima zone of the mining public registry (SUNARP) and has acted as an expert for the government of Peru in mining and environmental law in an arbitration before ICSID.
Dr Rodríguez-Mariátegui was professor of natural resources and environmental law at the Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) and sits in the board of directors of different mining companies.
