Luis Miguel Elías is a partner and head of our projects and infraestructure and mining practice areas. He also is a partner of our M&A, financings and antitrust practice areas. He is a graduate lawyer from Pontificia Catholic University of Peru has extensive experience in Peru and Latin America in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, project financing, the stock market, corporate strategies and mining contracts, with special emphasis on the mining sector and the development of infrastructure projects.
Luis Miguel has been an international associate at the New York office of Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett LLP (2012–2013).
In academic matters, Luis Miguel was a speaker on the course "Alternative Financing of Mining Projects" organised by Themis Law Review and has authored articles in his field of specialisation, such as the chapter for Peru of the International Comparative Legal Guide to Mining Law, Published by Global Legal Group, as well as the article “Metal Streaming: Concepts, boom and present”, published by the Advocatus Law Review.
