Biography
Managing partner of Arias Guatemala and member of the Regional Council, her practice is devoted to labour, immigration and regulatory law. She is also experienced in intellectual property, industrial property, corporate, agency and distribution, tort, telecommunications, product liability and consumer law.
Moreover, her passion to keep herself updated in terms of the economic and legal environment has allowed her to provide regulatory advice on various issues, serving diverse industries such as cosmetics, medical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, agriculture, technology, telecommunications, advertising and consumer protection. She has also provided consulting on anti-corruption for several companies.
She has a law degree from the Rafael Landívar University, attorney at law and public notary (1990). Liz attended the Central American Business Institute, INCAE, Legal Issues on International Business, 1999; Harvard Law School, Program of Instruction for Lawyers, 2000; Harvard Leading Professional Service Firms (2003); University of Salamanca, Spain, “Tort Law”, 2003.
