Born in Mexico City, Mexico. Educated at Universidad Iberoamericana (JD, 1998), University College London (LLM, 1999) and Georgetown University Law Center (LLM, 2000). Worked as legal intern with Judge Peter J Messitte at the US District Court for the district of Maryland (2001) and as Foreign associate at Wilmer, Cutler, Hale & Dorr (2001–2002).
