Biography
Founding president of OMG with more than 30 years of experience as a lawyer, he specialises in corporate and financial law, taxes and business planning. He has been an active member of the board of directors in the food and beverage, asset management, real estate, construction, media, financial services, fintech, tourism, technology, telecommunications, values, among others. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors of the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CRC) of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo. He served as Telecommunications Commissioner in the Dominican Republic during the period 2004-2012. He is the current president of the British Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic. Mr Melo is a law graduate from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM); holds a Master of Arts from the University of Notre Dame; and completed the Advanced Management Programme at IESE Business School.
