Biography
Juan Guillermo Ruiz is a partner at Posse Herrera Ruiz. He directs the department of tax planning, customs taxes and foreign trade. His work focuses on tax law, mainly on issues of tax structuring of local and international transactions, tax consulting, estate planning, tax litigation and transfer pricing.
He has extensive experience in the development of tax structures in mergers and acquisitions operations; in financing operations; in public and private tenders in infrastructure; tax litigation; and in the creation and operation of free zones.
He has worked for more than 25 years in the structuring of tax issues and tax planning; in the management of family assets; in company purchase and sale operations, in corporate reorganisations; and in transactions in multiple sectors, including infrastructure, oil and gas, mining, electricity, telecommunications, real estate; financial sector, retail, health, forestry and agro-industrial projects.
