Biography
J Roberto Martins chairs the projects group. Mr Martins is recognised by Chambers and Partners and Latin Lawyer as a leading lawyer in the energy and natural resources areas in Brazil. Since the 1990s, he has been leading major privatisations, concessions, mergers, acquisitions and greenfield development projects in the power, natural gas and infrastructure industries in Brazil. Mr Martins joined the firm in 1993 and became a partner in 2001.
Mr Martins advises on mergers, acquisitions, divestments, privatisation and post privatisation deals involving major Brazilian energy and infrastructure companies. He also practices corporate and administrative law and works on public–private partnerships, as well as transportation, water and basic sanitation projects.
