Biography
José Jiménez is senior partner at our bankruptcy and restructuring practice area. He graduated in law from the Santa María Catholic University (Arequipa) and holds a master’s degree in corporate reorganisation, insolvency and corporate finance from the University of Toronto. He also has a master’s degree with specialisation in corporate law from Lima University, a degree in tax law from Lima University, and a degree in corporate management and business organisation from the Escuela de Administración de Negocios. He also graduated with a master’s in corporate law from Lima University.
His areas of expertise include bankruptcy, commercial law and corporate finance.
He is a former teacher of bankruptcy law at the Pontificia Catholic University of Peru and of corporate finance at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas Business School.
He has several publications in Peruvian law magazines, such as Advocatus, Ius et Veritas, and Industria Legal as well as in the book The General Law of the Bankruptcy System, Exegetical Analysis by Juan Espinoza Espinoza.
