Biography
Jorge F Lopes advises domestic and international clients on the tax structuring of businesses in Brazil and abroad, acting both as counsel and as litigator. Jorge concentrates his practice on the taxation of M&A, private equity, investment fund, banking, financial and capital markets, real estate and family and estate planning activities. He has extensive experience in tax counseling to technology and innovation companies, especially in the payments sector, constantly working on tax structuring activities for fintechs and other digital services companies, in Brazil and abroad.
He received his LLM in international taxation from NYU and his law degree, as well as a civil engineering degree, from University of São Paulo. He was a foreign associate at Greenberg Traurig and is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
