Biography
Jean Paul Farah joined the firm in 1994 and has been a partner since 2003. He has more than 25 years of recognised experience representing leading international banks and export credit agencies in financing, refinancing and restructuring transactions for numerous private and public sector entities in the energy, telecommunications, consumer, real estate and housing sectors, among others. His M&A practice involves representing private equity firms in their equity and mezzanine investments in Mexico.
Jean Paul has participated in a wide array of financing transactions involving CFE, PEMEX, Fibra Uno, Grupo Gigante, Bimbo and América Móvil, as well as in several project financings including Ramones Sur, Ramones Norte and GICSA. He has been highlighted by transactions such as the refinancing of PEMEX’s debt.
He worked as a foreign associate at Uría Menéndez in Madrid (1997), and at Shearman & Sterling in New York (1998).
