Biography
Javier Robalino Orellana is director and partner of Robalino Abogados and leads the arbitration practice. He has been recognised as the only Eminent Practitioner in the corporate area in Ecuador by the renowned Chambers directory. In 2020, he became a member of the Circle of Presidents of the Council of the Americas. In 2011, Javier started an independent practice that continues to the present under his name and leadership. For more than two decades, he has represented multinationals in various local and international commercial and investment disputes.
Javier has been appointed arbitrator by the ICC, UNCITRAL, ICDR, PCA, CIAC, the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota, the Chamber of Commerce of Quito, CAM Santiago and the International Center for Arbitration and Mediation. He has also acted as an expert witness in matters of Public Law under ICC and UNCITRAL regulations.
