Hugo Triaca is a partner in the Americas capital markets practice. He has extensive domestic and cross-border capital markets experience and has worked on numerous debt and equity securities offerings and other financings by Latin American issuers. Hugo also advises foreign private issuers in connection with US securities laws and general corporate matters. His experience includes advising EPM, CEMEX as well as leading financial institutions on investment-grade and high-yield debt offerings and liability management transactions, including landmark transactions by Grupo Energía Bogotá, Empresa Telecomunicaciones Bogotá, ISA Capital, Transportadora Gas del Perú, Calidda, CTM, Camposol, San Miguel Industrias, Exalmar, AES Dominicana, Banco Agromercantil Guatemala, and the first green bond issuances by Argentine provinces. He advised the district of Baranquilla Colombia on a US$100 million financing from Deutsche Bank to finance infrastructure projects, and Dominican power company EGE Haina on a US$300 million sustainability-linked note offering. Hugo is qualified to practise law in New York and Argentina.
