Biography

Henrique Dias Carneiro is the founding partner of Dias Carneiro Advogados. He has an extensive experience in a large variety of commercial, financial and capital market transactions.

He served as an adviser to then-Minister of Finance Mario Henrique Simonsen from 1974 to 1977. He later acted as a lawyer for the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) and in the 1980s as a lawyer in the Latin American and Caribbean Division of the Bank’s Legal Department in Washington, United States. In the late 1980s, he returned to Brazil to head the legal department of construction company Norberto Odebrecht. Years later, he led the legal department of the Brazilian subsidiary of Alcatel and, in 1995, he went into private practice.

His vast experience enabled him to work in a considerable number of transactions on behalf of important clients, both in Brazil and abroad.
