Biography
Gustavo’s area of expertise covers a number of investment-related issues. His work in banking and finance law, project and energy financing has been recognised by specialist legal publications, such as Chambers and Partners, and Legal 500.
Gustavo has a wide experience in credit operations structures, covering project, export, acquisition and corporate financing – including through national and international offerings. He also works with mergers and acquisitions.
He regularly assists clients in the energy, sugar and alcohol and infrastructure sectors. Recent highlights include assistance to creditors in financing and restructuring transactions in the areas of ports, telecommunications and hydropower, as well as financers and debtors in the sugar and alcohol industry, in debt repurchase and financing transactions.
Between 2012 and 2013, Gustavo was an international associate at Uría Menéndez, a renowned Ibero-American law firm. He worked in the branches of Beijing (China) and Madrid (Spain), focusing on M&A and financing transactions.
