Biography
Guillermo Uribe focuses on banking and securities law, national and international capital markets (including real estate capital markets), structured finance and syndicated loans, and compliance and surveillance of the Mexican securities market. Mr Uribe has been responsible for major real estate acquisitions and has represented the biggest Mexican REITs. He also has a substantial background in negotiating, structuring and implementing traditional and structured loans and securities placements, including the national and foreign securitisation of assets.
Mr Uribe has served as counsel in M&A transactions and advised in high-calibre real estate transactions and REITs, including their role in Mexican capital markets. He previously served as the director of the corporate finance division and director of market surveillance for Mexico's National Banking and Securities Commission.
