Biography
Guillermo co-heads the banking and finance and capital markets practices at the firm. He has the privilege to advise some of the largest and finest companies in Mexico. On the bank side, he represents all the first-tier banks doing business in Mexico. He is also recognised as a leader in Mexico in sustainable-linked financings and integrates the ESG team.
Guillermo is passionate about cultural expressions and diversity issues. As part of his Pro Bono efforts, he works with Alondra de la Parra on projects for the promotion of Mexican music.
Guillermo is an innate teacher, both within the office and in academic circles. He regularly mentors young lawyers through the mentoring programmes of the firm and of Abogadas MX. He lectures at the Escuela Libre de Derecho and at the Universidad Panamericana and regularly publishes articles related to banking and finance issues.
He is recognised as an expert and leading individual in the capital markets and banking and finance practices by Latin Lawyer and by renowned specialised international publications.
