Biography
Partner in Demarest’s mergers and acquisitions, life sciences & biotechnology areas, Guilherme Vieira da Silva has a master’s degree, with honours, in law from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law (Chicago, USA). He is specialised in civil and constitutional law from UERJ and has a bachelor’s degree in law from PUC-RJ. He operates in the areas of corporate governance and capital markets in the energy, insurance, mining and financial segments. Since 1998, Guilherme has been assisting buyers, sellers, financial advisors and target companies in acquisition processes, structured finance operations, mergers, stock offerings, acquisitions, shareholder agreements and corporate governance structuring involving both Brazilian and foreign companies, whether publicly traded or closed. In addition, he represents investment funds in relation to the structure, organisation and investment in the Brazilian and foreign markets.
