Francisco Tong is head of our environment practice group. He specialises in mining, environmental and natural resources law.
He participates in the development and implementation of the main infrastructure and mining projects in the country. He counsels on environmental and natural resources matters, concessions, and administrative and judicial procedures related to said matters.
He has extensive experience in managing permits, licences and authorisations for natural resources use and/or exploitation.
Francisco has counselled the World Bank on a project to improve mining and environmental regulations in the Dominican Republic and the Republic of Colombia, as well as in other specific matters related to the mining industry development in general.
Education: University of Lima – Lawyer (1998); University of Dundee, Scotland – master’s degree in Law and Mining Policy (2003). Memberships: Lima Bar Association; National Institute of Mining, Oil and Energy. Practices: environmental; mining law; water resources.
